Beyond the Halls is Kearney Catholic's alumni speaker series, bringing graduates back to campus to meet with juniors and seniors over lunch. Sessions are held quarterly and organized around four career areas: business and finance, medicine, creative and design fields, and technology and entrepreneurship. During the 2025-26 school year, sixteen alumni took part, most in person and some by Zoom. Students heard from speakers like Christin Khayat '11, a critical care nurse practitioner at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital, and Marcus Benesch '18, who talked about how graduating without debt allowed him to start his own business. Piper (Schrock) Young '20, a graphic designer, encouraged students to choose the path that works best for them rather than the one others expect. Each session gives students the chance to ask their own questions, from choosing a college to staying focused once they get there. Along the way, many alumni have reflected on the faith and community they carried with them from Kearney Catholic, something they didn't always notice until years after they graduated.
