Gifts to the Endowment

Donations directed to the endowment that supports the operations of a faith based education at Kearney Catholic High School are supervised by the Kearney Catholic High School Foundation Board of Directors. The principal of the donation made to the endowment is not invaded and only the annual earnings may be dispersed and in accordance with the instructions of the donor.

Some gifts to the endowment are restricted by the donor’s instructions requiring that earnings be used for a specific stated purpose. A restricted endowment fund may be established in the operating endowment fund or the scholarship endowment fund.  A scholarship fund annual earnings support a scholarship awarded to students attending Kearney Catholic or a graduating student based on the donor's wishes.  Unrestricted gifts of any value can also be made to the endowment.
