The Moving Forward in Faith capital campaign launched in 2012 after a collaborative planning process led by the Kearney Catholic High School Foundation Board, School Board, and pastors/lay leaders of St. James and Prince of Peace.
In Phase I, the Kearney Catholic High School Foundation retired $1.28 million in debt from previous building projects and built two new science classrooms by the 2013-2014 school year. In Phase II, the Moving Forward in Faith Capital Campaign enabled us to continue adding the much needed enhancements to our facilities which will benefit current and future generations of Kearney Catholic students and six new classrooms were built in the summer 2016. Thank you! In 2017, the heating and cooling system was replaced and a sprinkler system continues to be installed in the original school structure!
Phase III of the Moving Forward in Faith capital campaign created a Chapel of the Beloved Disciples as well as remodeled and expanded the foyer and administrative offices at Kearney Catholic High School. Kearney Catholic has always maintained an excellent, faith based academic curriculum and this project only furthered the school's commitment to its students now and for generations to come. The chapel and expansion is an attractive, safe and functional gateway to the school that provides wonderful aesthetics that matches the educational excellence that is part of the school's mission.
With our improved financial position and upgraded facilities, we are already seeing returns on these investments into the student's faith based education. Our KCHS students are excelling in the classroom, on the playing field, on stage and in the community. The additions to the school have helped to ensure the faith formation of our young people, which will have a far reaching and positive affect on our community.
Once again, thank you for everyone's input and support. Only $129,800 is left to raise to retire the debt on Phase III. Stained glass windows may also be sponsored for $6,750 per window. It takes a great amount of faith, effort and prayer to reach our goals, but with your help we will undoubtedly strengthen the foundation of our Kearney Catholic community and provide a quality, Catholic education for Kearney area youth at Kearney Catholic. Please help us to continue sharing the mission of Kearney Catholic with future generations of students. Donate today by emailing email@example.com or by calling 308-236-6903. Thank you!
